Internship at Serious Games International - Malay's Language Game

During my internship at SGI the main project that I am involved in is the Malay's language Games. The project consists of 20 language games for secondary school students. The following is my art contribution for the Malay's games. From secondary 1 to 4 with each consisting of 5 games.

My other contribution to the games consists of a QA testing, documenting, scribe during meeting and sound designing. [*Note: Music in the following video is not the actual game audio]

    • S1G5 - Reveal The Mystery
      Level 1: As the time ticks, 1/9 of an item would reveal itself to the players. Base on the clue player's would have to fill in the blanks. When the games end, the picture will then be fully revealed.

    • S2G3 - Catch The Coconut

    • S2G5 - Musical Instrument
      Based on the question shown, player's must choose the right musical instrument and it into the empty musical note. The musical note will come in from the left and after a fixed timing the note will play the instrument sound that is within the note. Initially, the musical not yellow portion is meant to be a resemblance and function like the audio button.

    • S3G1 - Sentence Formation
      Form a sentence with the pieces of words available.
    • S3G3 - Cloud Connection
      Grab the right word and put into the blanks. Once submit, the game will reveal if the word chosen is right or wrong.  Initial design idea is help fat chicken get his eggs back into a nest. After design is fixing spoil brick wall.

      My design concept for this layout is futuristic circuit board that is powered by gems.
      Level 1: Sentence by sentence appears and the player have to choose a wrong word within the sentence. After all the sentences wrong word is found, player will choose the right word [gem] to replace the wrong [spoilt gem] in order to get the whole circuit running.
      Level 2 and 3: Similar to level 1 but instead of revealing all sentences, 1 sentence is revealed once at a time, player will similarly have to pick the right gem, instead of 1 wrong word to pick play will have to pick 4 and 5 words respectively.

    • S3G5 Malay House
      A sentence would appeared at the bottom of the screen which has a missing word on it. The player's task is to find the right image to match the missing words. Once the right picture is drag into the Malay's house it would reveal a list of option for players to choose. There's a bar which will indicate the number of tries left for the player. Once the bar hits the max, the house will starts to collapse with dust particles and thus the game ends.

    • S4G4 - Lock The Cages
      A game where by players choose the wrong text  out of the fake grasses. Once the player choose to throw a stick at the wrong text grass it will reveal an animal. Now in order to tame the animal, player's must successfully choose the right word to replace the wrong ones.
